Scholarships - Awards - Grants

Opportunities for All!

The Parents' Club offers a wide variety of scholarships and awards each year, from underclassman grants for summer programs to a variety of senior options. See details below and please encourage your student to apply when the time is right.  Scholarships open for enrollment in January each year and close in mid March.

Scholarships and Awards for Seniors

There are three types of scholarships and awards that seniors can apply for;

Senior Scholarships: Awarded annually to approximately 10 seniors, this scholarship is for college-bound seniors and is awarded based on involvement and contribution to the school and the community.  Applications are available in Naviance in late January each year (have your senior see the list in the Daily Announcements email for more information).

The Janice Schwarze Equity Scholarship: This  award will honor the programs and efforts near and dear to our former Principal, Janice Schwarze, and will recognize the efforts and focus of a current senior in the area of equity programs. This award application is now available. All seniors helping drive and lead the various equity programs at North are encouraged to apply.  Applications are available in Naviance in late January each year (have your senior see the list in the Daily Announcements email for more information).

What's Next Senior Award: This award program is for students defining their own path and/or exploring career options that do not include attending a college or university.  If your student wants to develop a talent, start a business, or learn a trade, then this is the application for them.  The award money is to assist in funding an alternative path, including but not limited to trade school, travel to attend a specific event or training, starting a business, training in a special skill, certification, etc. Applications are available in Naviance in late January each year (have your senior see the list in the Daily Announcements email for more information).

Underclassman Grants

Is your freshman, sophomore or junior attending a summer program for sports, the arts, academics, etc.? The DGNPC has underclassman grants to support summer camps and enrichment programs. Students may apply for a $200 DGN Parent's Club Underclass Grant to help fund their endeavors.  Applications will be available mid spring. Keep an eye on daily announcement and DGNPC emails for timing.
